     Dr Chih-Chuang Liaw earned his Ph Degree at Kaohsiung Medical University at Jan 2004. During his Ph D program, Dr Liaw went to be a visiting scholar in the Natural Products Laboratory (Prof K. H. Lee), School of Pharmacy, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After completing his PhD in Natural Products Chemistry and received the Dissertation Award, Liaw received the Postdoctoral Fellowship to assist Professor Yang-Chnag Wu at the same University.  Upon completing his postdoctoral studies, Dr Liaw moved to Chia-Nan University of Pharmacy and Science as a Faculty of Department of Cosmetic Sciences. One and half years later, Dr Liaw moved to China Medical University to establish the Laboratory for Natural Products as a Faculty of Graduate Institute of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Liaw has authored numerous publications and presented at conferences. Her research interests are in Natural Products Chemistry of traditional Chinese Medicine, Marine Organisms and Microorganisms and Modification of those bioactive compounds for practical applications.
