 Metal-Used Hot Presser (HP)

此熱壓機為美國Centorr Vacuum公司製造之50噸油壓式熱壓機。可在真空、偏壓及正壓之環境下，利用施以溫度及壓力使加入模具之粉體、板材或其它試料能夠燒結成塊狀材料之製程設備。此熱壓機最高工作溫度可達1200^oC，且腔體內4吋大小軸壓可提供50噸油壓之施力，並使用可替換的石墨或鉬壓板來進行熱壓實驗，可以使所得塊材具有緻密性以及良好性質的表現，是目前粉末冶金中最簡單及普遍之加工設備。同時本機亦能應用於高溫材料接合，讓材料在界面間相互擴散達到緊密結合的效果，並且能進行高壓熱處理，使材料在熱處理的同時，也受到外加應力的影響，改變其內部結構及本身的性質。

The hot press can operate in vacuum, partial pressures, as well as positive pressures of inert gas. It is rated for operation to 1200°C and a force of 50 Tons and is designed to press 4" (101.6 mm) diameter compacts. The unit is outfitted with interchangeable press platens of Graphite and Molybdenum to allow for diffusion bonding operation or powder compaction. Temperature control is handled by a Honeywell DCP-700 programmable controller, with both force control and position control using UDC-3300 controllers for independent profiles. The system is capable of high vacuum operation using a diffusion pump and a mechanical pumping system. This unique system with interchangeable hot zone design is ideal for R&D programs where high temperature material compatibility is required.
