在氬氣保護氛圍下,利用高週波加熱並熔融合金後,將熔融態金屬液體倒入高速轉動的銅輪可將熔融態合金的熱快速導出以急速冷卻,並將冷卻的合金藉由高速轉動的銅輪甩出形成金屬薄帶。銅輪的轉速高達每秒25公尺(相當於20 Hz)以確保足夠高的冷卻速率可急速冷卻形成金屬玻璃薄帶。利用銅輪甩帶方法製備出的金屬薄帶約5.0公厘寬、0.1公厘厚。

 

 

The ingots was heated to liquid alloys by the high frequency wave, and poured the liquid alloys on the spinning copper wheel to produce the amorphous alloys in ribbon under a purified argon atmosphere. The rotation speed of the Cu wheel is 25 m/s (20 Hz) to reach the high cooling rate so that the liquid alloys were rapidly quenched to form metallic alloys. The width and thickness of the ribbons are about 5.0 mm and 0.1 mm.
