Thesis Title: Influence of Dissolved Organic Phase on the Sorption Behaviors of Hydrophobic Organic Pollutants in Aquatic Environment.

 

Research Interests

My research interests are on the fate and transport of hydrophobic organic chemicals (HOCs) in the marine environment. Currently my researches focus on two topics:

1.     Salinity effect on the binding constants of selected PAHs with different dissolved organic matter (DOM).

2.     Application of three-phase sorption model, which includes freely dissolved phase, solid phase as well as DOM phase, on the solid-water distribution coefficients of HOCs in aquatic environment.
